What is Nitric Oxide?
NO or nitric oxide is a free form gas that is produced in the human body and is used by the body to talk with other cells. This gas is produced by enzymes in the body by breaking down the amino acid Arginine.
How Does Nitric Oxide Help My Workout?
NO causes vasodilation (an expansion of the internal diameter of blood vessels), which in turn leads to increased blood flow, oxygen transport, delivery of nutrients to skeletal muscle, and a reduction in blood pressure. An amino acid compound called arginine alpha-ketoglutarate (A-AKG) and arginine-ketoisocaproate (A-KIC) can boost short term Nitric Oxide levels.
You can expect increased strength and a substantial improvement in stamina.
How much arginine should I take? What are the side-effects?
There are no clear guidelines for arginine dosing. Too much can cause diarrhea or naseau. Start with a small dose your first week and depending on your side effects and positive effects increase your dosage
